Combining 35mm aesthetic and my conscious approach to it, the result is very cinematographic. As analogue feel’s precious by nature of its limited exposures I look for the right light, and find myself looking in the viewfinder a lot longer to compose the right shot than I would with digital.
As a results the subject matter is often more passive.
Looking back at these aesthetically pleasing exposures but not reflecting my true self I decided to add a touch of “je ne sais quoi”.
The result is an ironic take and a mix between meme culture and movie stills. As I am aware this execution isn’t anything new or ground breaking but the objective is irony and making fun of serious quote art. Taking a beautiful scene and tainting it with a message or a caption that comes across as blasé or purely none sense.
